Sun Plaza brings to Bucharest a small part of our gastronomic heritage, hosting, on November 3rd, a culinary show made with the masters of “Tasteful Stories” team. Starting at 15.00 on the 1st floor of the shopping center, visitors can find hundreds of years old recipes, as well as their history, told by Mircea Radu, the promoter of the project.
“Tasteful Stories” is a novel project from the village of Costesti, Hunedoara County, which aims to discover old, authentic recipes from that region and to bring them to the attention of all Romanians. It is an initiative that has already gained popularity due to the documentary value that combines old and gastronomic elements with ethnography. The alternative events that bring them to the forefront of the Dacian Mountains’ deserts and their dowry, but also the authentic back story, contribute substantially to the receptivity of the public.
The culinary show at Sun Plaza involves both cooking sessions, presenting to the public three very old recipes, Mircea Radu completing the moments with his discoveries made while documenting the project. The films made so far in the villages in the region will also be projected on the HD screen.
The gastronomy items, as well as the legends, cultural, historical, geographical information, combined into an unusual story about our origins, which we all should know.
